Westfields in Stratford the largest urban shopping centre in Europe opened its doors to thousands of shoppers today despite the recession! Most of the retailers were giving away free goody bags, vouchers and free food and champagne to launch the opening of westfields. There were performances from celebrities including Nicole Scherzinger, Kelly Brooks as well as other celebs and many celebrity shoppers!
Westfields has also been renamed Stratford city and adopted the eastenders fictional postcode E20. 300 Retailers, 70 restaurants, 14 screen cinema and the UK’s largest Las Vegas style casino to open later this year. The new complex has created over 10,000 new jobs with John Lewis taking on long term unemployed people from newham and training them up before todays grand opening.
