EDL VISIT TOWER HAMLETS

2010
06.16

EDL aka English Defence League created havoc last night in Whitechapel which led to 700-1000 muslim men gathering outside East London mosque!

Earlier speculation in the borough was that EDL supporters were parading around in large groups spitting at Bangladeshi women both old and young.

A flight also broke out with a group of Bangladeshi youths and the EDL after one of the EDL members attacked a muslim youth repeatedly kicking him. After the Bangladeshi youths fought back, they EDL managed to run into whitechapel station and escaped.

This all unfolded after the EDL confirmed that they would not be demonstrating in Tower Hamlets, after putting pressure on Tower Hamlets Council to get Troxy to cancel a Islamic conference, which they believed to be organised for Extremist Islamist speakers!

Instead the speaker they were referring to is Dr Zakir Naik, how uneducated are these people to think this very intelligent man is an extremist?

The press and media are the perpetrators behind all this racial hatred amongst the whites and non whites in the UK. Why don’t you uneducated drunks from Barking, Dagenham, Yorkshire, Manchester and Newcastle educate yourselves before spreading hate amongst communities?

I have watched some of your videos on youtube preaching ” we pay your benefits” now how many of you in that demonstration are actually working?

This is a message to EDL and the rest of the scum, without asians whether muslim, hindu, sikh or catholics you wouldnt survive! Wonder where you get your tea bags, sugar, clothes, mobile phones, everything is from Asia oh besides your egg and beans. Almost  every convenience store, restaurants and most of the shops on your streets are owned by asians, so who is exactly ”paying your benefits”?

Without Immigrants you wouldnt have a leg to stand on, even the doctors, nurses and teachers are from India!

As for the misguided muslims, mainly Pakistani’s in the UK who preach hate and extremism on the streets and hate everything about the UK, pack your bags and go back to Pakistan if you hate the west so much! All you people do is embarrass us asians as all white people think all asians are Pakistani. Go and preach your hate elsewhere you ain’t wanted in the UK.

3 British Citizens cycle from Sylhet to Cox Bazar

Three British citizens, including two of Bangladeshi origin, started a bicycle tour from Sobhanighat in Sylhet to Cox’s Bazar yesterday with a view to introducing the scenic beauty of Bangladesh to the world and raise awareness about cancer.

They are London-born Bangladeshi Abdul Salam, 33, Sylhet-born Azmol Khan, 32, and British citizen Phil Buckley, 61.

They reached Habiganj town yesterday afternoon and will start for Brahmanbaria from Habiganj this morning.

Crossing 400 kilometers, they will reach Cox’s Bazar on April 15 and end their seven-day journey at Teknaf.

A backup vehicle will follow the cyclists all the way to Cox’s Bazar carrying food, backpack and emergency medicines.

During his last visit to Bangladesh in 2004, Abdul Salam drove all the way from London to Sylhet along with two other Bangladeshi youths to raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care Hospital in London.

Salam’s mother died of cancer six years ago.

Before the beginning of the tour, Abdul Salam told local journalists that Bangladesh is a beautiful country but the beauty is not yet fully revealed before the eyes of the foreigners.

“Expatriates who are living in the UK permanently have to uphold the positive images of the country. So we started this initiative along with a foreigner,” he said.

Phil Buckley, a resident of Manchester, is visiting Bangladesh for the sixth time.

Buckley, who loves Bangladesh for its beauty and the hospitality of the people, learned Sylheti dialect just to express his love for this country.

Bangladeshi Marriage visa applicants to face English test

2010
06.09

The new coalition government has announced that marriage and partner visa applications from Bangladesh and people already living in the UK will be subject to an English test equivalent to the same level required for skilled workers admitted under the points based system! This new measure is due to be implemented in Autumn 2010 as part of one key element of the conservatives election manifesto.

Home Secretary Theresa May said: “I believe being able to speak English should be a pre-requisite for anyone who wants to settle here. The new English requirement for spouses will help promote integration, remove cultural barriers and protect public services. It is a privilege to come to the UK and that is why I am committed to raising the bar for migrants and ensuring that those who benefit from being in Britain contribute to our society.
”This is only the first step. We are currently reviewing English language requirements across the visa system with a view to tightening the rules further in the future. The announcement is one of a wide range of measures the new Government is taking to ensure that immigration is properly controlled for the benefit of the UK, alongside a limit on work visas and an effective system for regulating the students who come here.”

Last year some 38,000 visas for spouses were granted and a further 21,000 people were granted indefinite leave to remain. The move is likely to have a particular impact on Britain’s Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi communities, who make up a large proportion of these figures.
